Traditional cottage, set one lane back from the Cawsand Square and beach.

This is a cosy cottage, with antique furniture, parquet flooring and many original features. It was owned by our grandmother, and contains some of her antique furniture, but we have added some modern touches to bring it up to date (smart TV and wireless broadband!). Although it is old fashioned, it is kept spotlessly clean!

The living room has an open fire place, books, and a small smart TV and DVD player. The kitchen is traditional with a large wooden table that seats 4/6 people. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms (one large and the other on the small side) with very comfortable beds. We have had many compliments on the beds and bed linen! There is one bathroom with a bath and shower.

Outside there is a lovely small courtyard garden with table and chairs and a shed for beach stuff (help yourself) and another shed with a washing machine. There is a second patio up the steps, with a table and chairs where you can enjoy sea views.

The cottage is on a very small, quiet lane, fifty yards from the pub, square shop and beach - close enough to take your cup of tea or evening drinks! You're are also minutes from the famous coastal path walks, west to Rame Head and Whitsand Bay and east to Mount Edgecumbe.

How to get here
From the M5 at Exeter (junction 31) take the A38 for 43.6 miles to Plymouth and go over the Tamar Bridge into Cornwall. Continue on the A38 for 7 miles to the Trerulefoot roundabout (large Kernow Mill sign on your left). Turn left onto the A374 signed to Torpoint and in 4.2 miles turn right onto the B3247 signed to Millbrook. Stay on this road for 4.5 miles to Millbrook. A the bottom of the hill in Millbrook turn right (no entry sign ahead) and follow signs to Cremyll/Cawsand/Mt Endgecumbe. Drive up the hill out of the village and 0.7 miles turn right signed Kingsand/Cawsand/Rame. Go down the hill (ignore turning left to Kingsand) and in 0.6 mile turn left signed Cawsand. From here you can turn left straight into car park. You can unload at the property either by going directly down St Andrews St (left turning prior to car park) but it is steep and narrow. Or you can go past car park and drive round to the Cawsand Square where you can normally get away with leaving your car there a few minutes while you unload- the cottage is near the bottom end of St Andrews St so nice and close to the Square.

There is a smart tv. The cottage has a spiral steep stair case. All our kids and grandparents have stayed here from all ages, but just thought we should say it is not ideal for elderly and toddlers. There is a stair gate so you can stop toddlers going up and down unsupervised. There is a private courtyard outside, a shared courtyard one level up (difficult stairs) and another private courtyard with sea views a second level up.
