Absolutely unique, sea-front apartment on ground floor of early 18th Century home; Norr Rock was originally built as a Sea Captain's house and has since been a Convent, a Retirement home for "Genteel ladies" and a hotel during the 2nd World war and later. In the last 15 years it has been a family home for my four children, but now they are grown up it is time to open up our home to allow guests to enjoy, as much as we have, the welcoming atmosphere and unrivalled views! You will see from the photos that the second bedroom, with the sofa-beds, is part of the sitting room. The main sofa bed is a large day bed, which converts into a very large, 6'x6', comfy double bed, with a memoryfoam mattress. The kitchen, which sits between the sitting room and main bedroom, has a four oven 'aga-style' cooker and there is a wood-burner in the sitting room. The wet room is ideal for coming in straight from the beach, which is just a few steps away. This quirky, unusual home - with many original features, including the arched window and door - has been featured in House Beautiful and will be unforgettable whether you stay just two nights or two weeks!

Reviews: 'Great location, wonderful views and amazing place to stay. Lush.' November 2016

'Janette got in contact straight after we'd booked with all the info and answered any questions we had very promptly. Norr Rock was in a perfect location for us, right on the seafront and close to the pub and cafe (we used both). It was only a short break but a lovely one and as an added bonus the weather was fab too. Hopefully we'll be back next year.' October 2016

'Really lovely flat and the location is wonderful.' September 2016

How to get here
Drive up hill past Millbrook, turn right just before school. Drive down hill, past the children's play park on right and turn left into Kingsand just before the road swings around to the right. Go down to bottom, with Halfway House in front of you and turn left, driving past the Clocktower institute and then the Boatstore cafe and Devonport Inn pub on left. Norr Rock is then right at the end of the Cleave. Bags can be unloaded just around the corner from the house and then the car parked in the Car park next to the Halfway House.
