Description
Based in Torpoint in South East Cornwall, the choir is known not only for their singing, but also for their distinctive uniforms. The men wear Cornish tartan kilts with black jackets and the ladies attractive long, green dresses with a tartan sash.
The choir was formed in 1994 by Phil Carrigan, now Musical Director of the Polperro Fishermen’s Choir. Originally, its members were drawn from the Rame Male Voice Choir and the Torpoint Lady Singers. Today, members also come from other parts of South East Cornwall and Plymouth.
